Accessibility
Last updated: 12 July 2026
Everyone should be able to browse our homes and book a stay. This statement describes the standard we build to, what we have done so far, where we still fall short, and how to reach a human when something is hard to use.
1. Our standard
We build toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the Site, in both English and Arabic (including full right-to-left layout).
2. What we have built
- Contrast: text and interactive colours are chosen to meet AA contrast ratios, including button labels on coloured fills.
- Keyboard: the Site can be navigated by keyboard; every focusable control shows a visible focus ring; collapsed or hidden controls are removed from the tab order.
- Touch: interactive targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels on touch screens.
- Screen readers: interactive elements carry names and states (labels, pressed and current states, live regions for updating counts); images carry alternative text.
- Motion: animations are short, and the Site respects your system's reduced-motion preference.
- Structure: pages use semantic landmarks and heading order, so assistive technology can skim them the way sighted users do.
- Loading: while live prices and availability load, layout-stable placeholders prevent content from jumping.
3. Known limitations
- Arabic text renders in your device's system font rather than our brand font, which we consider the more legible choice until our brand typeface supports Arabic.
- The embedded map is provided by Google Maps, and its internal accessibility is governed by Google. The address is always available as text beside the map.
- Photography descriptions are concise; if you want a fuller description of any home, contact us and a human will describe it.
4. Booking with assistance
If any part of browsing or booking is difficult, we will complete the booking with you directly:
- Email: cs@bestofbedz.com
- WhatsApp: +20 122 758 0022
Accessibility feedback goes to the same channels and is reviewed by the team that builds the Site. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
5. Review
We test accessibility as part of every significant design change and review this statement at least yearly.
This statement is published in English and Arabic; if the two versions differ, the English version prevails.
